Our Friday Showcase features a handpicked lineup of Brisbane's best comedians alongside touring national acts — and this Friday, headlining the night, is Richie Thomas.

A local larrikin with four kids, a long-suffering wife, and a gift for Aussie dry humour, Richie turns the chaos of everyday family life into the kind of material that makes you laugh and wince at the same time. Unassuming, self-deprecating, and just a little bit daft — he's won three comedy competitions across Queensland and NSW, and honestly still seems surprised by it.
